Stoke 3 - 2 Fulham

Stoke were forced to hold off a late Fulham rally to secure a first league win in six games in a topsy-turvy match in snowy conditions at the Britannia.
Some dire defending allowed Stoke to go into the break three goals up, Tuncay kick-starting it with a neat header.
Abdoulaye Faye then slid in from close range and Mamady Sidibe half-volleyed the third with the Potters comfortable.
Damien Duff's deflected shot and Clint Dempsey's dipping long-ranger led to a nervy finale, but Stoke just held on.
It was a tense finish to an entertaining match, but home manager Tony Pulis might wonder how his side were forced to hang on in the closing stages having dominated for so long against a lacklustre Fulham outfit.
It was an impassioned display from Stoke, and one that provides a big fillip in their battle to retain top flight status this season.
However, their failure to put Fulham out of sight having dominated the opening hour only allowed the Londoners to produce a late fightback that almost denied the Potters a potentially vital win.
For Roy Hodgson's men, they need look no further than a woeful first-half defensive display when looking for answers as to how they failed to secure an away victory for the ninth straight league match.

Man Utd 0 - 1 Leeds United

Jermaine Beckford's winner gave League One leaders Leeds a famous FA Cup victory over their fierce rivals Manchester United in a thrilling tie at Old Trafford.

Forty-two league places separate the two clubs following the Yorkshire club's dramatic fall from grace during the last decade but Simon Grayson's side showed the rate of their recent revival with a memorable triumph.
Manchester United had never before lost in the third round of the Cup - or been knocked out of it by a lower-division side - during Sir Alex Ferguson's 23-year reign as manager, but they began 2010 on the wrong end of their biggest upset in this competition since they were dumped out by Bournemouth in 1984.

Chelsea 5 - 0 Watford

FA Cup holders Chelsea began the defence of their trophy in style as a vibrant display overwhelmed Watford.

Daniel Sturridge gave Chelsea a fifth-minute lead when he stabbed home a John Terry volley from close range.
A John Eustace own goal doubled Chelsea's lead before a Yuri Zhirkov effort went in off Florent Malouda.
Frank Lampard made it four with a thunderous drive from distance, and another neat finish from Sturridge completed Watford's misery.
Chelsea's irresistible attacking performance was all the more impressive for the fact that they were unable to call on either the injured Nicolas Anelka or top-scorer Didier Drogba, who recently joined Michael Essien, Salomon Kalou and John Obi Mikel on Africa Cup of Nations duty.
Watford manager Malky Mackay had hoped to contain Chelsea by opting for a five-man midfield, but the Championship side were rocked by Sturridge's early opener and found themselves three goals down inside 22 minutes, the tie effectively decided.
The build-up to the game was largely overshadowed by the fallout from an interview in French magazine L'Equipe in which Malouda reportedly expressed frustration at playing second fiddle to Lampard.
But there was no evidence of disharmony on the pitch as Chelsea moved smoothly through the attacking gears to leave Watford chasing shadows from the outset.
